2023 Veteran’s Day Program
We are cordially inviting all family members who are presently in the military, or who have served in the military, to attend our Veteran’s Day Program on Friday, November 10th at 8:00 a.m. in the Grove Gym. Immediately followed by breakfast in the Cafeteria. If you plan to attend, please contact Mrs. Carpenter or Mrs. Green in the Counselor’s Office by Monday, November 6th.
If you would like to share military photos for our slideshow, please include Veteran’s name and any details you would like to share about their service, relation to your student, with your student’s name and homeroom teacher on the back. You may also respond or send photos directly to carpenterl@henryk12.net.
Today is Report Card day. Your student has completed 1/4 of their Freshman year!

We are continuing to receive rumors of potential safety concerns related to Tuesday. I want to assure you that the administration and local law enforcement has investigated each rumor, and there continues to be no credible threat. Today, the administration went from classroom to classroom to speak with students about reporting anything concerning. We asked students to report anything concerning that they hear with their ears or see with their eyes to an administrator, school resource officer, or counselor. We asked for their help to stop the rumors as well.
Again, there is no credible threat. The students, faculty, and staff at E.W. Grove School are all safe and secure.

Today, there was a report of a safety concern reported at E.W. Grove School. When we are made aware of these situations, we respond immediately. We were able to investigate the situation swiftly and have been in communication with the appropriate law enforcement. There is no credible threat to students or staff on our campus. Students are secure within the school, and SROs are on campus and aware. Thank you for your patience as we secure the campus and actively ensure the safety of our students and staff. As always, we ask you to talk with your children about the role they play in school safety. If they hear or see something concerning, they should report it immediately to an adult. This will allow the school and authorities to respond most efficiently to safety concerns. Student safety continues to be the most important part of our jobs, and it is a responsibility that the entire Henry County School System staff takes very seriously. We appreciate your continued support.
